Mom Hack: Diaper Bomb Recovery Kit

It’s 2018 and one of my goals is to simplify my life. I have quite the habit of making things harder than they should be, but that ends now. What a better way to start than with a super simple hack?

Ahhh, mom hacks. I am all in for anything that makes life easier. So if you also like the simple things in life and prefer to leave the diaper bag behind, this diaper bomb recovery kit is totally for you!

Diaper Duties

I’m a bit ashamed to admit that more often than not, I go out and about without the diaper bag. My “I’ll only be 30 mins” turns into two+ hours and I have to make an extra trip to snag the bag before taking care of whatever else popped up. The problem is that I really don’t like carrying anything (besides my baby, of course). The problem with all of this is that even if you are only running out for 20/30 mins, your baby doesn’t know that. The explosive poop that they’re going to take (you know the one that goes straight up their back and down their legs) only takes a swift few seconds to happen. Don’t be caught off guard!

DIY Diaper Bomb Recovery Kit

The great thing about this is the fact that it’s small, easy to put together, and is made up of things you already have in your house.

Now, the first thing you need is that handy dandy little fabric pouch that you get when you purchase a new set of sheets. I’ve never understood the point of them and it seemed like such a waste of fabric, because I have yet to meet somebody who actually uses them to store sheets! But alas, I have found a purpose for them. If you’re in need of some new sheets and like what I used above, check out these peach cactus sheets I found on Amazon.

Next, you’re going to need a couple outfits! This depends on the weather, but it’s always safe to have a couple footed onesies on board. I have a serious problem when it comes to baby clothes, but i had to browse and leave some here for any of you who might be in need of some more, because you can never go wrong with black/white/stars. I should also add, don’t forget the socks! It seems that they have a habit of disappearing on us, so you can never pack too many of those!

Finally, (and probably most importantly) the diapers and wipes! You should be able to fit a whole packet of wipes and a good 4-5 diapers on top of everything else.

Voila!

Just like that, you’re done. Go ahead and stick that diaper bomb recovery kit in your car (I toss mine in the glove box) and never worry about leaving your diaper again. Guilt free, simple, and diaper bag free 2018 here we come!

I hope this helps make your life easier and I’d love to know what you think! Will you be making your own diaper bomb recovery kit?

I think this is a great idea! I love having a back up plan in the car with me in case something happens…which we all know WILL happen at some point. Great post!
